Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is one of Thailand’s most relaxed large-island destinations, with a long west coast of beaches, a practical northern gateway around Saladan, a slower central stretch around Long Beach and Klong Khong, and a very different east-and-south side around Old Town, Ba Kantiang and Mu Ko Lanta National Park. The island is large enough that where you stay changes the trip, but calm enough that even its busier areas rarely feel hectic. Beaches, diving, sunsets, seafood, local communities and easy-going nightlife make Koh Lanta especially good for travellers who want island time without a constant party atmosphere.
